MSK & Sports Injuries
MSK and sports‑related issues can affect the foot, ankle, calf and lower limb, often causing pain, stiffness or reduced confidence during activity. Symptoms may appear gradually with training load, after a specific incident, or when strength, flexibility or movement patterns change over time.
Many people notice discomfort during walking, running, gym work or sport, or feel limited by tightness, weakness or recurring niggles. These problems can affect day‑to‑day movement as well as performance, and often persist if the underlying cause isn’t identified.
Common issues include ankle sprains, calf strains, Achilles problems, shin pain, tendon overload, reduced strength, movement restrictions and difficulty returning to activity after injury. These can be influenced by training load, footwear, biomechanics, previous injuries or changes in routine.
An assessment helps identify which structures are irritated, how the lower limb is loading and what’s contributing to the symptoms. This may include reviewing movement, strength, gait, footwear, activity patterns and any relevant medical history.
Treatment usually focuses on reducing irritation, improving strength and control, and helping the area tolerate load more comfortably. This may involve activity guidance, strengthening, stretching, gait or movement adjustments, footwear advice, insoles or other targeted approaches depending on your goals.
If symptoms are affecting your activity, limiting your progress or keep returning, an assessment can help you understand what’s going on and what will help you move with confidence again.
